This initiative offers up to $100,000 per eligible apartment complex, consisting of 50% covered by a grant and 50% by a zero-interest loan.
Co-funded under the Solar Banks Initiative and the Sustainable Household Scheme, this program enables your complex to harness solar power, enhancing value and sustainability.

Eligibility Criteria
Who can apply?
Owners Corporations: Also known as body corporates, these entities must manage an eligible apartment complex within the ACT.
Example: Any legally recognised group responsible for managing shared spaces in apartment complexes.
What's the valuation criteria?
Average Unimproved Value: The average unimproved value of a unit must be $300,000 or less, as of any year from 2022.
Brief Description: This refers to the land value of the property without any buildings or improvements. It's assessed to ensure the program supports properties within a specific financial threshold.
What are the property requirements?
Eligible Properties
- Apartment Complex Type: Must be a completed apartment complex with a Class A unit plan as defined in the Unit Titles Act 2001.
- No Existing Solar: The property should not already have rooftop solar installed.
How does my apartment complex finance this?
Financial Eligibility
- Loan Assistance: Half of the funding comes as a zero-interest loan from Brighte, ensuring manageable repayments without financial strain.
- Repayment Criteria: Applicants must meet Brighte’s credit requirements to confirm they can sustain the loan repayment over time.
